General Site Data: The property consists of a 0.884+/- acre lot, improved with a 37,922 sq. ft., multi-story armory building constructed in 1896 and 1897, including an attached garage, asphalt parking lot, lawn areas and concrete sidewalks. General Building Data: The building is an attractive and imposing structure with towers, turrets and circular bays with an attached garage. There are a variety of rooms including offices, locker rooms, storage areas, multi purpose rooms, lavatories, exhibit hall, cafeteria area, former firing range and swimming pool in the basement area. As was typically the case when many armories were built, some asbestos was used in a limited amount of pipe and heating system insulation. All asbestos in the building has been inspected and removed. Areas of underlying lead paint which were deteriorating, flaking or scaling have been scraped, removed and repainted. Over 80,000 square feet of surface areas have been repainted.
